ABOUT US
BIG Welcome to our shop window, I am striving to keep the site updated the best I can with show reviews as well as some cracking photos of both my models, and those I come across along the way, all in all this should give you a good idea of both what we do and what we promote......Model Trucks
A bit of background for you, I have been building Truck models for the past 15 years or so, mainly in 1:24th Scale, both modern as well as classic subjects. I also have a very large quantity of Emek Trucks, which are actually 1:25th scale but they are very well detaied and very easy to convert to your own fleet livery, or as a replica of your favourite truck on the road ( Tutorial to come), and are usually found being used on G Scale Railway layouts, but are more than suitable for my needs, I really enjoy what I do, and like to create as many opportunity's to show my models both here in the UK, as well as at some of the most prestigious model shows throughout Europe.
I am privileged enough to get asked to show my Trucks all over the country at ALL the UKs Top Truck Shows, as well as County and Country Shows and Fairs, in fact the list grows longer and longer every year.
Over the last 2 years or so I have not only been joined by my goodlady wife at these events, and I have been surpassed. She is now into Radio Control Truck Modelling in a Big way.
In the 2007 season I struck a deal with an RC Truck modeller Jamie, who my wife had been lucky enough to have been let loose on his and other Guys RC trucks and Forklifts, to build her her own truck as a birthday present, this truck is now most infamous on the circuit, in fact it even has pride of place on the opening photograph on this web site, and acording to the Fagen & Whalley guys she has done more scale miles than the real thing.
Over the past year, even we have started to make our Road Layouts more realistic, road like surface tiles, more features, Distribution Depots, Garages, Wokshops, Roadside Cafe, Roadworks ect as well as adding better reproduction sound modules, all in all introducing hundreds of thousands of people to the Trucks and the hobby in both scales.
The general plan is to add photos of the Trucks at the events we attend and show you what we are up to throughout the year, also going to try and shoot some video of the RC Trucks running at the shows, which I will put on our youtube link for your perusal, also add other truck modellers links to thier youtube site so you can view thier videos to.
I will continue to organise the shows over the up comming year, and continue in to the winter period, were we all get the chance to right the wrongs over the year, and sort out the bumps and scrapes, I can feel a heavy shed session comming on.
So modeller or enthusiast, static or Radio Controled enjoy the site and join in if you feel the need.
Pete
